These items connect overhead distribution power lines and equipment. There is a complete line of splices, taps and terminals for all overhead distribution applications. They provide for consistent results in the field. There are a bunch of different vendors that provide lots of overhead connector products. Factors such as corrosion, improper installation, and manufacturing defects can cause in-service failure of connectors leading to safety risks to lineman crews and the public, and compromising the reliability of the power supply. Some of the most common types of connectors are; wedge, compression, bolted and automatic. All of these connector types differ in materials, design, and service applications.
