They are part of a color-coded connection system where cable size is represented by a corresponding color on lugs, taps and dies. Burndy has designed this system to give installers confidence that they are crimping the right connector with the appropriate connector die. Sizes range from dies to crimp 8 up to 1,000kcmil.
