Shackles

The most common shackle is the anchor shackle, they are forged steel shackles that are used for attaching suspension insulators to towers, yokes and double arming plates. The openings are enlarged to permit the use of two or more fittings. Interconnection applications include attachment of suspension insulators to towers, poles, and crossarms. Includes 5/8″ diameter pin and self-locking cotter. Where additional clearance is required, use extension links. Drop-forged steel, hot-dipped galvanized for corrosion resistance. Shackles are used principally for attaching suspension insulator units to the power pole. Please call us at Northern Power Equipment with any questions that you may have.
