Series Molded Rubber Splices are 35kV 1-piece inline splices which are perfect to repair damaged cables. It is suitable to use on 35kV jacketed concentric neutral (JCN) or concentric neutral (CN) cables with copper or aluminum conductors. Its elongated design ensures the easy removal of damaged cables up to 6 inches. The splice is molded from specially formulated, peroxide-cured EPDM rubbers to provide physical protection. Connectors bridge the gap where the damaged cable is removed. Tapered cable entrances makes for an easy installation that: Reduces cable to splice friction, reduces lubrication wipe-off, (leaving lubrication to ease installation). The Smooth bore reduces cable to splice friction. The relieved conductive insert reduces cable to splice friction as well. Those are only some of the things that help make for an easy installation.
