Shrink Fit

Cable terminations are high voltage silicone shrink-fit terminations. These terminations are manufactured using an optimised weather-resistant silicone formulation and offer superior cable sealing and voltage withstand characteristics. They have three different shed designs for superior weathering – 15kV, 25/28kV and 35kV, accommodating cables ranging from #2 AWG to 1250 kcmil and cable types such as XLPE and EPR with various shield constructions. Integral Hi-K voltage stress control tubes provide uniform voltage grading over the length of the termination and eliminates damaging voltage stress concentrations at the cable insulation shield edge. The lightweight, compact design allows installations where space is restricted and can be used within free hanging applications.
